"un condor invadiendo mi nido"

(dictatorships in south america)

This work is based on the dictatorships in south america, my work is divided in two parts, the first one is a filter in red for the known dictators in south america and the second part are blury images of missing people, fatal events and protest that occur during that period of time. By the blurry filters i want to focalize on the attempt of the goverments to try to hide information to the people so they get another idea of this events and like in this particular case, there are many others, thats why i am against the information concealment that govements try to hide from people, therefore my theme was the dictatorshios in south america and my abstract concept is "unreveal info"

Body

After seeing all sort of videos introducing to us what is body and space in art, it really called my attention Oliver de Sagazan, in a way it sort of disconforted me and made me have a wired look to his perfomances, but it was that thing that made me intreset in his art work, in one of the videos of introduction to the body and space said that this type of art works invited to the "disconfort, what we cannot clearly understand at all, is what makes us really think of ourselves and our every day life, that feeling that we get is not only to be ignored but to be focused on why are we feeling that way, what is the performance telling to us in a way'.  I thought of making this video again many times, but i got to the conclusion that im not trying to make it look good nor bad, but to make it really disconforting to watch, I belive the naturalness of the video make it the way I want to express it.

It was sort of wierd making the video because no one helped me, and also it was physically intense because of the way i was posetioned but I think the movements made where good because of the communication I wanted to express.

As a final reflection, I believe that this kind of "sculptures" are considered art, because by the definition art is a way to do an activity or product that its purpose can be esthetic or communicative where the author expresses ideas, feelings or worldview perspectives. This work has a purpose to communicate in a way my perspective towards the meaning of body and space purpose, so yes, i think it is considered art.
